New Majority Leader = John Boehner

Congratulations to Rep. Boehner for his victory. Today Boehner was elected by his collegues in the House of Representatives as their majority leader. He ran as a "reformer", so let's see what he does now. I hope he is not knee jerk in his policy aims. We have fewer problems with Lobbyists than we do with the spending and funding culture in Congress.

It is the way Congress surreptitiously places spending in the budget that is the problem. If they didn't hide spending earmarks in places no one is aware that they have hidden them so that spending is enacted without the knowledge of anyone other than the one who hide the spending, we wouldn't have these Lobbyist problems.

In any case, it seems that Shedegg dropped out of the running and his votes went to Boehner.
