"Actor", Richard Belzer, Says U.S. Troops Uneducated

On March 17th's episode of Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, actor and comedian Richard Belzer claimed he is more educated about the war in Iraq than our troops who have been there. And claiming that our troops don't really know anything about the war in Iraq was not the only insult Belzer cast at the troops. (See Newsbusters.org)
"You think everyone over there is a college graduate? They're 19 and 20-year-old kids who couldn't get a job", he said disparaging the troops, to Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R Fla) on Maher's show.
In a condescending way, Belzer claimed he was much more informed than any US soldier because they don't read "twenty newspapers a day" like he apparently claims to do.
He told Representative Ros-Lehtinen that her step-son, currently serving in Iraq, isn't a "brilliant scholar about the war because he's there.".........................

I like Richard Belzer because he is a great slimeball character in hollywood..I can appreciate that.
But he is also an example of how Smart people feel when they are on drugs.
Hey...I've been there and can appreciate the human psychology behind WAR as being seen as crass and ignorant.War is bad...we get it. ..but unfortunatley necessary sometimes,otherwise people like this that cling to drug addled fits of perception that make them unaware that Some men actually feel a sense of purpose in training to be a weapon to be used to make the world a better place is lost upon their patronising intellect.
In other words...Let us do for Richard Belzer what it was he had intended when judging the mental faculties of our Soldiers on a wildly popular television show...Let us advertise his thoughts and ideas and report them far and wide...
Let the People be the Judge..
