Domestic Spying?

What do I think about this faux media scandal? Glad you asked...

As far as I can see, so far the government has not done anything more intrusive than advertisers, bill collectors, and internet service providers have ever done with the information that is easily discovered about each and every one of us.

But, the biggest conundrum that occurs to me about how the left is going after the Bush administration about this issue is that the same goof balls and hypocrites (your Patrick Leahys and Dick Durbins, for instance) who are after Bush haven't said a WORD about the vast amounts of info that the IRS has about each and every tax payer.

Why do you think they are lambasting the Bush administration for having bits of info collected to stop terrorists, but haven't said a WORD about the vastly greater amounts of info that the IRS has?

... could it be that those aforementioned fine Senators get their paychecks from the IRS?

Now, let's look at two instances of what Democrats have done with similar information in the recent past.

-Chuckie Schumer fraudulently obtained GOP candidate, Michael Steele's credit info so that he, Schumer, could plan an attack strategy to best Steele at the voting booth.

-The Clintons used IRS information to harass their political enemies.

Hmmm. Republicans use such info to stop terrorists from blowing us all up, and Democrats use such info to attack their political opponents!

Gee, I'm having a hard time warming to the Democrats' demagogy.
